Superflex (Rasmus Nielsen, Jakob Fenger and Bjørnstjerne Christiansen) & tenantspin (featuring tenant producers, Alan Dunn from FACT, the Foundation for Art & Creative Technology, and representatives from the Liverpool Housing Action Trust)
Superchannel is a network of local studios used by people and communities as discussion forum, presentation medium and a physical gathering place. It is a tool that enables you to produce internet TV directly engaging users in the creation and evolution of content.
For the New Museum project, six tenantspin members and workers will come to New York to train groups of local seniors to create an interactive television program that will be broadcast live from the New Museum from June 13-16, 2002.

Superflex is a group of three Danish artists—-Rasmus Nielsen, Jakob Fenger and Bjørnstjerne Christiansen—-who use art as a tool of empowerment, enabling individuals and communities to address ecological, social, and political concerns that are relevant to them.
In 1999, with programmer Sean Treadway, Superflex developed the first Superchannel project in Copenhagen, training local communities to produce interactive, non-commercial, television programs on the internet. There are now more than twenty Superchannels worldwide, covering serious debates on issues such as housing, democracy and technology, as well as more lighthearted and humorous topics such as food, leisure and popstars.
Since 2000, the tenantspin channel has been produced by a group of housing tenants in Liverpool (UK)—-the majority of whom are elderly and in high rise accommodation—-in conjunction with FACT, the UK's leading agency for the commissioning and development of film and new media projects, and the Liverpool Housing Action Trust, a Government agency set up in 1993 to oversee the transfer or refurbishment of 67 of the city's tower blocks. As with all Superchannel projects, tenantspin participants are responsible for research, camerawork, computer operation, publicity, presentation, training and studio management. Each week tenantspin broadcast two one-hour shows that stimulate debate on issues as diverse as smart homes, landlords, Elvis, the year 2040, sport, and E-Democracy.
For the New Museum project, six tenantspin members and workers will come to New York to train groups of local seniors to create an interactive television program that will be broadcast live from the New Museum from June 13-16, 2002. Training for New York groups will be scheduled at various times during these four days in a special television studio created by the New Museum. All broadcasts produced by New York participants will be archived at www.tenantspin.org. Tenantspin will begin a two month long e-mail dialogue with New York seniors in April 2002 to identify relevant topics for the broadcast.
